15-Year-Old's Killer Arrested after Police Received Tip

A community is mourning the horrible death of a 15-year-old girl found last week whose killer has finally been apprehended.

According to the Las Vegas Police Department, the body of the teenage girl was discovered in a vacant lot with not only 40 stab wounds, but evidence of sexual assault as well. She had been reported missing the night before she was discovered when she failed to return home from a walk around the neighborhood. After an autopsy confirmed her identity, police notified the family and started working on possible leads in the fatal rape case.

Thanks to a tip provided by the girlfriend of the suspect's friend, police were able to identify and capture the victim's killer. Police now believe that he was attempting to rob her and then decided to rape and murder her, after which he burned part of her body. The suspect is currently in a local dentition facility without bail.
