Man Charged with Homicide for Lethal Heroin Injection
One man is facing decades behind bars for injecting a lethal dose of heroin in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to police reports, officers first responded to the scene of what was supposed to be an accident. The 63-year-old man who called 911 told officers that the 45-year-old woman lying dead on the floor of his trailer had slipped and fallen. However, they quickly determined that something was not right with his story.
It was only later on that he admitted to injecting her with heroin. As someone who is familiar with heroin injections, he told officers that he was trying to give her a standard dose, but the woman grabbed his arm and forced him to administer the entire amount.
He has since been charged with second-degree murder in what is now being labeled a homicide. Police are still investigating her death and have recently learned from friends and family that the woman was known to be a drug user, but they said she did not use heroin.
