Prosecutor Arrested for Alleged Drug Purchase
In Clark County on Saturday, a prosecutor was arrested for allegedly buying illegal narcotics from a street dealer.
According to the arrest report, David Schubert, Chief Deputy District Attorney, was arrested Saturday evening around 5 p.m. when a patrolling officer in plain clothes spotted a suspicious BMW stop and pick up a person who allegedly dealt drugs.
The report stated that the alleged drug dealer told police Schubert, who he knew by the alias "Joe," repeatedly visited him for the past 6 months or so to purchase cocaine. Along with cocaine, the police reportedly impounded a firearm as well as ammunition from Schubert's vehicle.
Schubert is known for his involvement in high-profile drug cases throughout Las Vegas including the arrests of Paris Hilton and Bruno Mars for cocaine possession. Based on the arrest report, Schubert may face charges such as
drug possession or drug purchasing.
