Parents Convicted for Death of Child
The parents of a special needs child were convicted March 1 for the death of their 4-year-old special needs son.
On June 9, 2008 Jason Rimer was found dead in his parent's SUV after being left in the vehicle for more than 17 hours. The coroner determined that the child died of environmental heat exhaustion.
A jury convicted Stanley and Colleen Rimer of involuntary manslaughter. Another Las Vegas jury also convicted the parents for multiple counts of child abuse and neglect involving their other children.
