Fugitive Arrested in Las Vegas
A man who avoided authorities for five years after a warrant was placed for his arrest was finally caught by U.S. Marshals in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
Matthew Williams, aged 74, was tracked down and arrested by U.S. Marshals after running from the police since 2006, when he allegedly kidnapped and robbed a student from Marquette University at gunpoint in 2006.
After using more than a dozen aliases, according to the Marshal's office, serving parole for a previous bank robbery, and using fake social security numbers to collect benefits, Williams was finally arrested after investigators discovered a recent alias he was using in Las Vegas.
