Victim Murdered after Roommate Dispute

When you live with roommates, you should find a calm way to settle disputes, unlike one man that struck his roommate in the head with a golf club, killing him in Las Vegas.

Local news sources say that one roommate, a 28-year-old male, witnessed the victim, a 60-year-old male, as he struck a third roommate. The two had quarreled over a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, prompting the older male to strike the younger male with a bag. The third man then stepped in, apparently in defense of his friend. Yet, the force he exerted may have been considered unnecessary to stop the fight.

Days later, the older roommate disappeared. However, neither of his roommates reported him as missing, a suspicious fact that didn't make sense to officers when his body was discovered two days later.

After speaking with both men, the police took one roommate into custody and booked him into the jail. He was charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon, although more charges could follow pending an investigation. It is uncertain as to whether police will bring the second roommate into custody for the murder at this time.
