Shooting at Funeral Injures 7 Victims

The funeral of a stabbing victim led to even more violence and tragedy as a gunman took to the crowd of mourners. Officers responded to the report of gunshots fired just following the funeral of Andres Armando Elena, a 21-year-old murder victim. He lost his life last month when he inadvertently walked into an argument between two groups on a walkway.

According to eyewitness accounts, the gunman appeared to be part of the funeral group until he pulled out a firearm and started shooting people. In total, he struck six adults and one juvenile victim. All the shooting victims were transported to University Medical Center and North Vista Hospital.

At this time police have little information on the gunman, only that he is a Hispanic male that was wearing a red shirt. He was witnessed driving away in a vehicle that resembled a 1974 Chevrolet El Camino. The vehicle was painted white, while the doors are painted purple with a brown "7" on them. The Las Vegas Police Department is requesting that people come forward with additional information if they have it.
