Car Stolen with Five Year Old Child Inside
Henderson police received a call this morning about a stolen vehicle - what was unusual about the case was that there was a five year old child sitting in the car when it was stolen.
The boy's parent had been letting the car warm up with the boy inside; the parent wasn't gone for long before someone who was ostensibly walking by saw the running vehicle and jumped inside. The suspect is described as a heavy black male wearing a cowboy hat, and the car is a Nissan Titus pickup truck. The car and the boy were found off Nevada Highway after someone called 911 to tell them of the car and boy matching the description.
Kidnapping is considered a violent crime, and is a felony.
