Drug Ring Brought to an End
Police departments in Nevada and Arizona worked together to bring down a ring of drug dealers that were operating out of both states. In total, seven people were arrested for participating in the illegal sale of marijuana.
Based on their joint investigation, the police departments were able to obtain a search warrant for two businesses near the Las Vegas Strip. They discovered that the seven people were running an illegal marijuana dispensary out of the businesses, one of them being a storage facility.
The suspects range in age from 26 to 55. Two of the suspects are married; another two are father and daughter. Police in Tempe first started their undercover investigation when they received a tip that one of the businesses was operating without a license. After several months of sending undercover agents to observe both businesses, there was enough evidence to petition a judge for a search warrant. All seven suspects face a variety of drug crimes charges and are being held on bail.
