Police Shoot Man Who Raises Gun at Them
This Sunday, over Labor Day weekend, Metro police responded to a call in Las Vegas Valley that was initially a problem between two neighbors. As they were on their way to the home on Greenbriar Townhouse Way, they received new reports that one of the neighbors was shooting at the other. When the police arrived, there were shell casings in the yard and the man answered the door while holding a shotgun, and did not put it down when the officers ordered him to do so. Reports say that the man then raised the gun towards police, prompting two officers to fire at him.
It has not yet been released how many shots were fired or what condition the man is in. He is recovering at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
Although there were other people in the house at the time of the shooting, their relationships to the man have not been identified. No one else was injured in the incident.
