Three Unrelated Homicides in 24 Hours
Between 8:50 p.m. on Friday and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, there were three unrelated shootings that ended in death.
The first homicide occurred at Iverson Lane. 44 year old Darren Rael was shot during what appeared to be a robbery attempt. He was shot in the chest. No information is known about his assailant.
The second victim, 33 year old Mario DeJesus-DeJesus, was shot inside the bathroom of the Opera House Casino around 11:30 p.m. He was also shot during a robbery. Henderson resident Stefon Clark has been arrested for murder and armed robbery.
The last shooting resulted in the death of 18 year old Jerry Corral. There was a disturbance reported at Putnam Avenue, and when police arrived, they found Corral with a gunshot wound to the head. No one has been arrested in his death either.
