Saturday Morning DUI Crash Proves Fatal
Early Saturday morning, around 2:30 a.m., 24 year old Richard Orozca-Garcia ran his car off the road and hit a wall. The crash resulted in minor injuries for him and fatal injuries for his 26 year old passenger. The driver was charged with driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
The name of the deceased passenger has not yet been released by Clark County Coroner's Office. The car crash occurred on Woodwinds Way near the Paradise/Maryland intersection, located in the southern part of Las Vegas Valley. Orozca-Garcia, who was driving a 2004 Nissan, is now in custody at Clark County Detention Center.
Vehicular manslaughter is a very serious charge, and Orozca-Garcia could be facing years in prison in addition to heavy fines if he is convicted.
