Police Seize 2 Pounds of Methamphetamine
Francisco Sandoval-Estrada, 45, has been charged with methamphetamine trafficking and possession with intent to sell. He was arrested by Nevada police during a sting operation. He was involved in a transaction in which he was to sell one pound of methamphetamine to an undercover officer. Police confiscated the one pound he had on him and then searched his car and found another pound. Altogether, the methamphetamine is worth around $145,000 on the streets.
Sandoval-Estrada is being held in Douglas County Jail with a bail set at $105,000. Immigration officials are also investigating his case. He could be deported if he is here illegally, or he could be sent to prison for years if he is a legal citizen. It was not stated whether he has a criminal defense lawyer yet.
