Husband Charged with Attempted Murder of Wife
Glenn Duane Moss, who married his wife in 1998, allegedly attempted to murder her during a picnic in Lake Mead National Recreation Area on November 3rd. According to his wife, who has only been identified as L.M., he told her to get close to the edge of a cliff near where they were having a picnic so that she could see the fish better. She then felt him push her off of the 20 foot cliff. L.M. cannot swim, and Moss made no attempt to save her or to call 911. She was able to keep from drowning by waving to a jet skier, who picked her up and took her back to land.
Moss' has been indicted by a federal jury for attempted murder, assault resulting in serious bodily injury and assault with intent to commit murder. His defense team denies the accusations and instead says that his wife lost her balance and he was trying to stabilize her when she fell. The trial will be held in federal court because the alleged crime took place on federal property.
