Yesterday, 49 year old Vince Neil, better known as the front man for the rock band Motley Crue, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was driving his Lamborghini near the Vegas Strip, where he owns the restaurant Tres Rios Cantina at the Las Vegas Hilton.
He posted $2,000 bail and was released today. Vegas police say neither his arrest nor the investigation will not be made public.
More than 25 years ago, Neil was also arrested on a drunk driving charge. That time, however, he crashed his car and killed his passenger. He pled guilty to vehicular manslaughter and drunk driving, spent 20 days in jail, and paid $2.5 million in restitution.
Neil has recently released a solo album, "Tattoos and Tequila," and is planning to release a tell-all book in September. In interviews for press for his book, he talks about his sobriety, stating that he has not been a drug user in 2 decades, and that he has stopped abusing alcohol as well.
