Walmart Manager Charged with $250,000 Theft, Selling Merchandise on eBay
The assistant manager of a Henderson Walmart was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly stealing merchandise and selling it on eBay. year old Jeromie L. Michener was jailed at Henderson Detention Center after having admitted to stealing over $10,000 from his employer, though police suspect the number is closer to $250,000.
Michener was an employee at the Henderson Walmart on Marks Street. Police found a storage unit of the stolen goods, including more than 50 portable GPS systems, computers, televisions, video games and video game gear. They have also found his shipping records which show that he has shipped more than 150 packages over the past few months. They will probably look at his eBay feedback and buyer history to determine the exact number of goods stolen.
Police believe that he has been running this burglary operation for about two years. He may be charged with other crimes when they have finished gathering evidence against him.
