Teenager Who Egged Truck Shot at, Injured

Two teenagers, who have not yet been publicly identified, were egging cars in Henderson near Anthem Highlands Drive and Dalsetter Drive, when one of the owners of a car that got egged shot at them. 22 year old Christopher Brunelle was in his truck when the eggs struck it. As the two 18 year olds drove away, he fired shots at the Jeep Cherokee.

Either a bullet, fragment, or piece of glass struck the teen in the passenger seat; the teen who was driving as not injured. Brunelle immediately called 911 when he realized that one of the teens was hurt. Although he told police he was aiming for the tires of their car, he is being charged with two counts of attempted murder. Brunelle is being held at the Henderson Detention Center. He will not be able to use self defense as a plea because police have stated that there was no real and present threat, or realistically perceived threat, to his life. It is possible that a Las Vegas criminal defense lawyer could have his charges reduced to assault.

The two teens are being charged with misdemeanor vandalism.
