Murder-Suicide at Las Vegas Hospital

A woman who was visiting her ill husband at Valley Hospital Medical Center shot and killed him and then herself early this morning.
The woman and her husband are believed to have both been in their 50s. The husband was apparently suffering from mental issues and had been in the hospital for a little over two weeks. His condition was deteriorating, although it is not yet known whether he was terminal. It is unknown whether the wife was suffering from any mental or health problems.
The hospital was put into lock down immediately after the shooting, but because it was isolated to the one room, was conducting business in a normal manner later this morning.
The Valley Hospital Medical Center does not have medical detectors, and hospital officials say no one was aware that the woman was carrying a gun.
