On Saturday, Metro police were called to a home on Maryland Parkway after an elderly man called 911 saying that he had shot and killed his wife.
When police arrived, the man, now identified at 74 year old Phil Testa, would not leave the house and would not allow police inside. He said he would shoot if they approached. Shortly thereafter, police heard a single shot, and went inside to find Testa with a gunshot wound to the head. He was trasnported to a hospital, where he later died.
His wife, 79 year old Angelina Testa, was found dead inside, having suffered multiple gun shot wounds to the head.
A motive for the murder is not yet known.
