20 Arrested in 'Clip Joint' Raid

On Wednesday, police arrested 20 people who worked at or with a Las Vegas 'clip joint,' a business that lures in and scams tourists by promising or insinuating sexual services, and then providing none. Clip joints are difficult for police to catch because few of the victims report the crimes because they were involved in illegal activity, soliciting prostitution, as well.
The three businesses that were raided, Sensations, Entyce, and Club Exclusive, publicly billed themselves as reflexology parlors. Normal reflexology services started at around $200, and the reflexologist, usually a woman wearing little clothing, would attempt to convince the victims that services in the VIP room could lead to sex or sexual favors, for an extra fee, of course. The extra fee started at $500. When customers demanded the favors, they were then escorted out of the building by security.
Some taxi cab drivers were in on the scam, and helped out with the sting. Cab drivers who took tourists to the locations received a kickback, usually around $180. The 20 arrested have been charged with crimes such as conspiracy, fraud, and racketeering.
